Now permanently closed - Booty Call Wednesday became a San Francisco night-life institution, with a regular roster of high-profile DJs and performers that drew a diverse crowd to its location in the heart of the city’s Castro District. In addition, rotating artists created icon art installations as photo backdrops. Founded by the legendary drag impresario Juanita MORE!, and Joshua J, the idea for the weekly came about in the last days before hook-up apps became ubiquitous when you still had to go out - to make out. For MORE!, Booty Call Wednesday was always about bringing people together, and the party thrived off the energy of regulars and newcomers alike.
