People's March & Rally/We Are Here - Supports Trans Ally Protest

WHEN: Saturday, June 27, 2026

TIME: 10 AM

PLACE: Embarcadero Plaza, Market St & Steuart Street, SF CA 94105

MARCH: 10:30 AM Embarcadero to Civic Center

RALLY: Noon - 5 PM, People’s March Stage, Civic Center

People’s March announces Trans Ally Rally to fight for trans rights. People's March & Rally, in partnership with Indivisible San Francisco, San Francisco Dyke March, SF Dykes on Bikes ® WMC, and SF Pride, will host the Trans Ally Rally, where we’ll march and rally on Pride Saturday to stand up for our trans loved ones.

The People's March is shifting our approach this year! Our community, specifically our Trangender and BiPOC siblings are facing unprecedented legislative attacks across the country. In states like Kansas, transgender rights and safety are being stripped away. Because of this, we cannot rely on "allies" to speak for us; we are speaking for ourselves!

Led by the iconic SF Dykes on Bikes® WMC and the San Francisco Dyke March sound truck, we will march from Embarcadero Plaza straight to the People's March stage at the Civic Center; McAllister and Polk. The route culminates in a powerful rally, live music, and performances, all proudly supported by The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. This is where we center our calls to action, urging allies to stand up and protect our trans community. We’ll also be highlighting the Dyke March and the SF Dykes on Bikes ® WMC activities happening later that day. Please make sure it’s on your radar!

Why This Year is Different

We are sticking with our roots. This isn’t a celebration; it’s a protest.

  • One Unified Roar: To keep our energy high, we will forego a long morning rally and instead start with a "roar" from the Embarcadero, moving straight into the streets.

  • Centered Voices: We will have a People’s March stage at the Civic Center that will prioritize Black, Brown, and Indigenous trans speakers, performers, and DJs.

  • Solidarity in Action: The SF Dyke March team has adjusted their traditional schedule to march with us in the morning. We will then support them as they transition to 18th and Dolores for their afternoon rally. With SF Pride’s stage & sound, and Indivisible SF’s infrastructure backing us, we have the platform and the power!

How You Can Help

  1. Spread the Word: Please share this message with your networks. We are aiming for thousands of people to show up and make a statement.

  2. Volunteer: We need folks to help with logistics. Volunteers will receive a People’s March T-shirt.

  3. Donate: These events just don’t happen and we need your support for production. (Venmo: pm_2020)

  4. Stay Tuned: We will be sending out a formal "run of show" and final speaker list shortly.

We are coming together because no one else is coming together for us. This is about the kid in a red state who is afraid to be who they are; we are marching for them.

Names of speakers, performers, and other special guests will be released closer to the event.
