Before Castro, there was Polk. In the 1970's, it was a refuge for LGBTQ+ youth seeking freedom and family. Join with special guests: Cleve Jones, founder AIDS Memorial Quilt; Shawn Sprocket, historian Tenderloin Museum; and Rev. Daniel Borysewicz, MCC San Francisco as we dedicate a permanent plaque to honor their courage and claim this vital piece of San Francisco's history.
We are gathering at the corner of Polk and Frank Norris Streets.
