Fifteen years ago, Mama G’s Street Dinners was born out of a vision of a shared holiday gathering right in the heart of San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. A few volunteers came together, and within the span of a few hours, served a nourishing, comforting Thanksgiving meal to those who passed by.

Fast forward to last year's Mama G's last Thanksgiving Street Dinner in November of 2022 where 100+ volunteers served over 650 meals! On top of that, we recently crossed another big milestone – serving over 1,000 meals throughout 2023 with our Burrito Project. Suffice to say, Mama G’s is making the biggest impact it’s ever made.
