What Remains - Art Exhibit & Auction w DJ Juanita MORE!

  • Schlomer Haus Gallery 2128 Market Street San Francisco, CA, 94114 United States (map)

What Remains showcases the work of ten local artists who are transforming discarded remnants of Pride into something permanent and beautiful.

What Remains is an art and activism exhibition intended to address this disparity by getting Americans rethinking and renewing their support for LGBTQIA+ mental health beyond Pride. The exhibit, curated by Schlomer Haus Gallery in SF’s Castro District in partnership with Venables Bell + Partners, showcases the work of ten local artists within the LGBTQIA+ community who are literally transforming the discarded remnants of the SF Pride Parade into something permanent and beautiful, with the proceeds going to support Queer LifeSpace, a SF-based mental health organization providing training and counseling for queer people, by queer people.

What Remains features artwork by Monica Canilao, Jamil Hellu, Alex Hernandez, Alma Landeta, Jason Mecier, Marcel Pardo Ariza, Leonard Reidelbach, Nat Saia, Nicole Shaffer and Jun Yang. Each of the original pieces will be available for sale beginning on August 4th at the gallery and via online auction with 100% of the proceeds going to Queer LifeSpace. Additionally, twenty-five limited edition prints of each artwork will be available for sale with 50% of proceeds benefiting Queer LifeSpace and 50% going directly to the artists.
